House and Villa Painters in Kamala
Phuket Pro Painters paints houses, sea-view villas and condos in Kamala, from the village behind Kamala Beach to the clifftop homes along Millionaire's Mile. The team travels to Kamala for a free survey, checks the steep driveways and the footing for scaffolding, and issues a written quotation before any work starts.

Kamala has three bands, and each one is painted differently
Kamala is a small bay enclosed by hills on three sides, between Patong to the south and Surin to the north. Compared with other zones in the list of areas where our painters work, Kamala packs very different buildings into a short distance. Painters in Kamala therefore assess a job by the band the property stands in.
The Kamala Beach strip
Behind Kamala Beach, small resorts, restaurants and rental houses line the beach road. These buildings take salt air directly. Paint on the seaward side fades and chalks quickly, and louvres, balustrades and steel gates need rust removal and anti-rust primer more often than homes further inland.
Kamala village, set back from the beach
Inland from the sand is the original Kamala community, with its mosque, school and market, local family houses, shophouses on the main road and rental apartments. Many village sois are narrow. A pickup can get in but struggles to turn round, so moving scaffolding means agreeing a time with neighbours and never blocking a driveway. Most homes here are covered by residential house painting, inside and out. Roadside shophouses and shops come under painting for commercial buildings.
The hills and the cliff road to the north
The coast road from Kamala towards Laem Singh and Surin, known to foreign residents as Millionaire's Mile, is lined with luxury villas looking over the Andaman Sea. Typically they step down the cliff on several levels, with tall walls, large panes of glass, infinity pools and a great deal of exterior timber. Nothing shelters these houses from the sea wind, so a west-facing wall takes afternoon sun and salt air together.
Where does the difficulty lie in painting a hillside villa in Kamala?
On the Kamala hills, access is harder than the painting. Many driveways drop steeply from the main road to the house. Parking is limited, and the seaward wall often rises above a slope or a terraced garden. Scaffolding needs firm, planned bearing points, and the stone around the pool and all the glazing must be covered before the first coat.
A large share of these villas is let to holidaymakers, so the work has to fit into a gap between bookings. Our team communicates in English and can coordinate directly with a villa manager or an owner who lives abroad. The page on painting villas and pool villas explains how a whole-villa job is sequenced.
What should a Kamala condo owner arrange before the painters arrive?
Low-rise condos and hillside apartment blocks keep appearing in Kamala, some owner-occupied and some rented out. Nearly all condo painting is interior work, because the outside walls are common property managed by the juristic person. Before the painters come, an owner should:
- Notify the juristic office and ask which days and hours contractors may work.
- Ask about the service lift and where a contractor's vehicle may park.
- Tell the painters whether the unit is furnished or empty, so covering and moving furniture can be allowed for.
More detail is on the page about painting condos and apartment units.
How does the team reach Kamala, and how does a job begin?
Phuket Pro Painters works across Phuket province, and the team travels to Kamala to survey and measure free of charge. Two roads lead into Kamala: over the hill from Patong through Kalim, or from Cherngtalay through Surin. Both are winding hill roads, so scaffolding trucks should come outside rush hour.
After the survey a written quotation is always issued. It sets out the areas, the preparation items, any work at height and the workmanship warranty terms. The client either buys the paint and hires labour only, or has labour and paint supplied together. Call 063-004-0115 or use WhatsApp.
Owners with property further north can read about the neighbouring zones under painters in the Cherngtalay area and painting work in Bangtao and Laguna.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
- Can scaffolding be put up at a villa on the cliff road between Kamala and Surin?
- In most cases yes, but the ground has to be seen first. Clifftop villas often have narrow, sloping ground around the building. The painters check the footing and the carrying route at the survey and list work at height separately in the quotation.
- When should a house near the canal and beach in Kamala village have its exterior painted?
- The dry season, roughly November to April, suits exterior work most because walls dry quickly. If the job must be done in the rainy months, the painters pick days when the rain breaks and let the wall dry before each coat.
- Do I need permission from the building management to paint a condo unit in Kamala?
- Most condominiums ask owners to notify the juristic office in advance, and they limit contractor days, hours and use of the service lift. Ask for the building's rules first and pass them to the painters so the schedule fits.
